2023 Beaverton Winter Lights & Tree Lighting Event
Join us for the annual Tree Lighting event!
Friday, December 8, 2023
6:00-8:00 p.m.
Beaverton City Park (SW 5th St & SW Hall Blvd)
Mayor Lacey Beaty will kick off the holiday season by lighting the City Park tree! Enjoy the live music and free cocoa and cookies courtesy of the Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce and City of Beaverton (limited quantities, while supplies last).
6:00-7:00 p.m. Local music performances, roaming acrobatic performances, food and snack vendors.
7:00-8:00 p.m. Mayor's tree lighting ceremony, light display, local music performances, roaming seasonal characters, food and snack vendors.

6:30 p.m. Arts and Communication Magnet Academy Choir
7:00 p.m. Beaverton Band Saxophone Quartet

Parking Information
Both City Park Lot and the Beaverton Main Library Lot will be open for public parking. Street parking is also available in the area. Please keep in mind our street closures for the event - additional information in the next section below.
ADA parking spaces will be available at both City Park and Library Lot and on Washington between 3rd and 4th St.
We recommend ride sharing with either Lyft or Uber - ask them to drop you off at our loading zone on the corner of 4th and Watson (12555 SW 4th, Beaverton, 97005) or arrive by bike to the event. A covered bike shelter is available near SW 4th & Hall Blvd.
Street Closures
The following street closures will be in effect between 4:30pm and approx. 10:30pm:
- SW 5th St between Hall Blvd & Watson Ave
- SW Hall Blvd between 5th St & SW 3rd St
Driving Directions
From Interstate 5:
Go north or southbound, turn north on Oregon Hwy 217; go five miles to Oregon Hwy 10 (the Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy). exit; go Left (west) on Hwy 10, about ½ mile to SW Watson. Left to SW Fifth Street. Beaverton Farmers Market is adjacent to Beaverton City Park and the Beaverton Public Library.
From US Hwy 26 (the Sunset Hwy):
From Portland, or from the Oregon Coast, take Hwy 26 to the Oregon Hwy 217 South exit. Travel approx. two miles south to the Oregon Hwy 8/Hwy 10 exit and follow directions above.
Public Transportation Via Bus:
Tri-Met #76 or #78 lines. Stop at SW Watson and 4th, southbound. Stop at SW Hall Blvd. and 3rd, northbound. Tri-Met buses that run close to the market are the #57 on Tualatin Valley Highway, the #52 on Farmington Road, the #88 on SW Lombard, and the #62 on SW Murray Blvd. Ask driver for connecting lines. From Tigard Transit Center, take either Tri-Met bus lines #76 or #78.
Via MAX Light Rail:
From Hillsboro or downtown Portland, go to Beaverton Transit Center. Transfer to either Tri-Met bus lines #76 or #78.
