Traditionally made at Christmas time, Danish Heart Baskets also make perfect Valentines! They can be filled with candy, treats, messages, and more, or placed flat in an envelope to mail or hand out.
This drop-in workshop will provide you with step-by-step instruction on how to turn simple paper into a pretty woven basket. Once you learn the trick, you won’t want to stop making them! Requiring only paper and scissors, it’s the perfect craft for long winter hours inside, and is endlessly customizable with more and more complex patterns to learn if desired.
All materials and instruction will be provided to make as many Danish heart baskets as you’d like.
This is a multi-generational activity! An adult guardian is required for children under the age of 18. Adult guardians do not have to purchase a ticket if they only plan to assist their children in the craft. Adults who plan to make their own craft are required to purchase a ticket.
